HELL is not a happy place

FIRST BAPTIST SHAMGAR

WHAT IN HELL DO YOU WAN'T? That's the question my friend.I would like to know that. Now you might think there is no HELL but I am to share with you that there is a hell, weather you think so or not. Jesus talked about hell a lot.Now it does not matter what you think about HEAVEN,HELL,GOD or SATAN,this is fact. Jesus said there is a hell peroid. Now may I ask you a question....ARE YOU CALLING JESUS A LIE? Fact: 1.If you are not saved when you die,you are going to hell...peroid. 2.You will live forever in the bottomless pit forever burning. 3.Your SOUL shall live forever in torment. 4.As long as God live, you shall too live. 5.God will never die, there is no death for God. God has always been, and will ever be. Let me point out a few thing's to you. HELL is not a happy place. Every letter in hell stands for something. 1.H= HELL is a hot place. Hell is 7-times hotter than any-thing or place on earth. There is no water in hell for cooling,no air in hell as we know it now. Yes,HELL is a hot place. 2.L= HELL is a lonely place. Yes, Hell is a lonely place, hell will be full, some of your family, friends, church folk[not Christians] Church goer's [not Christians] will be there. Yes,Hell will be full but a lonely place. 3.L= HELL is a low place. My friend hell is a low place, deep, bottomless,no end to it as far as dept. So deep that there is no end to it. NOW MY QUESTION IS>>... What in HELL do you wan't?? You can go to HEAVEN. Jesus talked about Heaven too,a place for those who accepted him as their savior and LORD. HEAVEN is a sure thing,no if's but's,may-bee's, or think so. HEAVEN is a sure thing when Jesus is your friend, savior, and LORD. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS......!!! Hell is the future place of eternal punishment of the damned including the devil and his fallen angels. There are several words rendered as Hell: Hades - A Greek word. It is the place of the dead, the location of the person between death and resurrection. (See Matt. 11:23; 16:18; Acts 11:27; 1 Cor. 15:55; Rev. 1:18, 6:8). Gehenna - A Greek word. It was the place where dead bodies were dumped and burned (2 Kings 23:13,14). Jesus used the word to designate the place of eternal torment (5:22,29,30; Mark 9:43; Luke 12:5). Sheol - A Hebrew word. It is the place of the dead, not necessarily the grave, but the place the dead go to. It is used of both the righteous (Ps. 16:10; 30:3; Is. 38:10) and the wicked (Num. 16:33; Job 24:19; Ps. 9:17). Hell is a place of eternal fire (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 19:20). It was prepared for the devil and his angels (Matt. 25:41) and will be the abode of the wicked (Rev. 21:8) and the fallen angels (2 Pet. 2:4). RETNOM *PASTOR* of SHAMGAR

Hell is most definately a happy place!
Some of the best conversationalists are there!

Its one of the best places to get a tan!

The lake of fire has some of the best fishing possible!

Flame broiled steaks availible 24 hours a day!

If you're ever hot, you can always visit Eskimo Hell, where its -100F all day long!

As to it being a lonely place? According to the idea that everyone but chrisitans are there, that would mean More than 80% of the world! 80% of 40,000 people every day... thats a lot of people!

Remember, someone's heaven is someone else's hell, so heaven exists in Hell!

Can I interest anyone in some time shares?

Dear Rune:
But what fun is it to be sunburnt all the time? Ouch...I would rather be having an out of body experience...as in...letting my soul fly free in the heavens.

It was difficult to read the first post so I will type what I have here at home...from an article:

Hell is:

A lake of fire....Revelation 20:15
A bottomless pit....Revelation 20:1
A horrible tempest....Psalm 11:6
A devouring fire....Isaiah 33:14
A place of sorrows....Psalm 11:6
A place of weeping....Matthew 8:12
A place of wailing....Matthew 13:42
A place of torments....Luke 16:23
A furnace of fire....matthew 13:41, 42
A place of everlasting burning....Isaiah 33: 14
A place where they curse God.....Revelation 16:11
A place of ourter darkness....Matthew 8:12
A place where people pray.....Luke 16:27
A place where they cry for mercy.......Luke 16:24
A place of everlasting fire.......Matthew 18:8-9
A place of separation from God.......II Thessaonians 1:9
A place of eternal damnation.....Mark 3:29

With that in mind...come hang with us in heaven...at least
there you can talk. I really hope you don't really want to go to hell.

Best,

Rebecca

Its Press is slick, it has the best agents and advitisers available, but trust me on this.......

you will get burnt on the deal.

Until you know all there is no know
about hell, maybe it is best to reserve
judgment on it's qualities. A good place
to start would be readings from the letters
of God to you. Why not consider the Truth
while you are contemplating on the values
of hell. Have you considered being forever
(that means eternity with no end) being
apart from your creator, the one who made
you and gave you all provision needed to
be in His presence forever? Have you
considered that evil is a tiresome thing,
and will not forever satisfy? Have you
considered the agony present in hell,
when one realizes that they cannot change
where they are and whom they serve in hell?
Can you imagine the suffering without end?
Pure evil is the ugliest thing there is.
That's what satan is. He has no good
qualities at all. I am not for sure any
of us can really comprehend this total
evil entity and the cruelty of him.
Have you considered your weeping, wailing,
and gnashing of teeth in the pain and
sorrow of the choice that you alone made?
LIving there with no chance of ever getting
out?

Have you considered the joy of knowing God?
Considered that God does not send anyone
to hell , but rather leaves the choice
entirely to you?

Wouldn't you love to know God? Think of it.
Simple mankind like us knowing the Almighty
God and creator of the entire universe?
Actually knowing Him and talking to HIm,
hearing His voice, knowing you are tenderly
loved and desired by Him?

For God so loved the world, that He gave
His only begotten Son, so that WHOSOEVER
believes in Him, would not perish (spiritually)
but would have life everlasting.

If you will say with your mouth AND believe
in your heart, that Jesus died for you,
took your sins upon Him, paid the penalty
FOR you, and say that God raised Jesus
from the dead on the third day, then
You will be saved.

Salvation is very simple. Many miss it because
of this. We do not become perfect or sinless,
and then get somehow qualified for salvation.
We come just like we are now. We present our
selves to Him, believing He will help us in
every area of our lives. We just come!
We say , Here I am, Lord, take me, mold me
and use me as you will. We only ask, and
He forgives us of ALL our sin? Now, have
you ever heard of a better deal on this
planet.

We never can 'get good enough' for our own
salvation, but rather we receive in ours
hearts that HE IS good enough and so we
rely on His righteousness. HE leads us into
all Truth. We learn to hear His voice, and
we follow Him.

A strange place we live in, where a never seen never speaking spook in the sky myth will send his supposed creations to an everlasting burning fire for "sins" supposedly committed in the 70 odd years that man lives... I would imagine even Hitler should be given some relief after burning for ---say 1000yrs ! Tell me folks, if you were this creator/myth could you sentence your children to an everlasting burning hell?? Of course not, thats why I know this god/myth is an evil hoax invented by man---a hoax used to control and punish.
It is time to send this god/myth to the used god junk pile along with Zeus, Ra, Odin, Thor and the rest of mans mythical super beings!

Hi,

Thanks for the post. I can understand that Hell is beyond the concept of mortal man and that many mortals therefore cannot comprehend eternity in fire. But Hell is not beyond God and God has clearly stated, warned and cautioned that denying Him is the same as requesting to be separated from Him and therefore separation from God is eternity in Hell.

The notion that God cannot be seen or heard is a notion that will strongly be disagreed with here. If you want to see the True Living God who is the creator of Life then look at the Devine miracle of child Birth, look at the sunrise, the stars in the sky. Look anywhere at creation that you want to and you will see the work of God.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Gods voice is Loud and Clear throughout every page of the Bible. Most of the Bible is spoken Prophecy and the prophecies are written down first and fulfilled later. To disagree with God and the Message that God is speaking in the Bible does not mean that God is not speaking it means that we are not listening.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word (Bible), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

I know that when you Look and Listen for God you Will Find Him.

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek Me (God ) and find Me, when ye shall search for Me, with all your heart.

God Bless You,

See you in Heaven, {that is where God wants you to be}

David

{D}>>Look anywhere at creation that you want to and you will see the work of God<<
I HAVE looked--I see that a boy goes swimming in Florida and a shark kills him---You say all things are created by your god/myth--your myth caused a family to lose a son----try to tell them that your god/myth works in strange and mysterious ways--What wonderous things I see famine, wretched living conditions-mosquitoes, lice snakes viruses disasters hurricanes tornadoes ALL these works of your "loving" caring myth----Baloney sliced thick.

The only hope for mankind is mans brain--he has defeated the samll-pox your myth allowed to roam free and polio too. If people would give up the notion that there is this spook in the sky who cares, they might give up the silly and destructive belief in any and all religious nonsense and get back to mans real purpose here--to make the best and safest life for himself and others that his brain will allow him to do.

There is no evidence of any loving caring god anywhere except in the fairy tales invented by ancient frightened fear driven superstitious goatherders. Only man can better his world! There is no evidence of any god anywhere ever doing a thing !!

Quoting man made verses from an ancient book and declaring them to be from the voice of a god is just a cruel hoax played on mankind over many centuries and helps no one except maybe as a placebo!

Hell is not beyond the concept of mortal man---hell is an invention of mortal man !

Please dont leave messages that say "see you in heaven"---there is no heaven---our lives are what we make of them and then they are over, no matter what your childish pie in the sky wishes may be !!

And to those of us Christians That Know the Truth of God, His existence and His Love, His Truth has set us Free.

John 8:32 If ye continue in my Word, then are ye My Disciples indeed, and ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.

We see the Love and Compassion and Power of God in that He has Overcome Sin and Death. The Sharks of this world might be able to kill and eat the body But the Spirit and Soul of the Believer go to Heaven and Eternity with God.

You are right and observant to look and to see the sin, rebellion, disobedience, despair, sickness and death that are the results and conformation that sin is in the world now I would implore you to look a little further and to see God the God of Compassion who carries us through our darkest trials and times.

Listen a little further and hear the voice of the Holy Spirit that is calling out to you calling out to you for an eternity in Heaven with God.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the Bride (Church) say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of Life Freely.

The Invitation Still Stands!

See you in Heaven!!

Ask the parents of the boy and a zillion others who have seen tragedy happen to their loved ones, and my bet is they would rather see their cherished ones back with them , rather than be eaten by a shark , but assured by some bible banging religionist give them some totally unsubstantiated drivel about their loved ones should residing with the god/myth.

I ask you again politely not to include me in your heaven pie in the sky imaginations.

Job was also a man acquainted with grief he lost all seven of his children in a single tragic event the collapse of a building that they were in.

In the end God gave Job seven more children here on earth then in Heaven Job was reunited with both sets of children 14 in total. Glory to God that He has overcome death, sin and despair.

Want to see your loved ones again like Job is? God also wants you to see them so get with Gods program and you will see them forever in Heaven.

Again looks like God has the Best, most Loving and most Honorable Plan!

As for my prayers of seeing you and others in Heaven that is my hope so Im sticking to it.

God Bless You,

See you in Heaven!

Why do you post what you have no proof whatsoever for?? There is no proof anywhere at anytime that such a fairystory has ever come true--You accept it from a bible---a book written by men , for men--no I'm sorry , but you will not end up in some imaginary heaven--you will end up where every living thing has ended, in the ground as wormfood, nothing more---This much we know--the rest is just biblical fairystories handed down generation to generation, with each passing having the stories embellished!
. I do not accept and do not appreciate your taking me down to your level of non-logic non thinking by continuing to offer me a place in your Pie in the Sky fairyland!!

123four--What is not obvious to your type is that a person who questions or argues with your theories or positions is NOT seeking your god/myth---what he is doing is trying to figure out why people are still so gullible as to accept the man made religions of ancient times which have NOTHING to do with the 21st century---Can any of you ever answer a question without using that sorry slogan"it's in the bible"??? sayings by men and put in a book which is "claimed " to be from some god/myth! No I am definately not seeking your god/myth, just questioning it--which irritates those in charge of closing this forum to open views. Fred the Bible & Christianity are the Most Relevant items of our Day.

There is Noting in All recorded History of Mankind that explains the circumstances of Mankind Like the Bible and like Christianity!

Because in your Foolish behavior you choose to call God a myth, you are only revealing yourself to be naive and you are in no way disproving God!

This is a Christian forum for Christian discussion.

You are at the Wrong forum if you want to debate the existence of God. Christians Already Know and accept that God Exists.

Some day you will also acknowledge that Jesus is God either sooner or later, preferably sooner.

Philippians 2:10,11 at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow .. and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord , to the Glory of God the Father.

All the Best!

Hi,

According to the Bible Humans are Separated from God because of our sins. It is Accepting the Death of Jesus on the Cross for our Sins that Reconciles us to God.

When we are Reconciled to God, and Jesus having risen from death, He then Breaths His Spirit into our Spirit and we are a New Born Again Spiritual Creation.

I understand that you do not have the Spirit of God/Jesus inside of you and therefore it is basically irrelevant to get into a discussion with you about the existence of God.

God, the Bible, and Christians Have the Answers to Life and Death and to Eternity with God.

Not scare tactics just Reality.

Unless of course you think you are one person who will live physically forever.

Hell simply means the grave. There can be no fiery Hell for punishment until the Judgement. How can one be punished in Hell now without standing before God?

Hell is not eternal.
Malachi 4:1-3 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

They shall be ashes under the soles of your feet! They would never turn to ash, if they burned forever!

May God bless and keep you, my brothers and sisters!

Hi,

I think we need to remember that it is the Soul and the spirit of the person that Remains forever in Hell and not the physical body, as people in hell are disembodied spirits.

Ashes are physical and would only come from a physical object not from the spirit/soul of a human.

Treading ashes underfoot is possible while the soul-spirit of that person is and remains in hell.

God Bless you,

David

Jesus specifically talks about one that can destroy the body and the soul. This means the soul and spirit can be done away with! People will burn, but for different lengths of time! Satan will burn longer than any, but there will come a time when the "Lake of Fire" will have achieved it's purpose and will be done away with! To believe they burn forever is also to believe they have eternal life. Only Christians will have eternal life!
May God bless and keep you, my brothers and sisters!

How does it feel to think you know everything? I pity you. God is real, Jesus did exist and can save your soul but you are more intelligent than the creator of the Universe. Wow. You have a great amount of pride. The Bible says there is pride before the fall. You are setting yourself up for a big fall. Be very careful.

Hi,

You alluded to a good verse, I hope that in the future you will take the time to write it out and include the reference that way we can all learn from the Scriptures.

I think this is the verse that you are referencing

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Destroy = Strongs reference # (266)

The word destroy does not mean annihilate as in cease to exist. It means to be brought to ruin, to be in an unproductive state and condition. If a car is destroyed it is ruined but it does not cease to exhist.

When the Bible mentions the concept of some item ceasing to exist it usually uses the word Quench. As in a fire that is quenched and ceases to exist. i.e. Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Here is another use of the word Destroy in the Bible.

2nd Thessalonians 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

God Bless You,

David

Hi,

Everyone does have an Eternal Existence.

Christians have Eternal Life while Non-Christians have Eternal destruction/death.

The difference is where we spend eternity. Christians spend eternity in the Perceivable presence of God (Heaven). Sinners spend eternity out of the Perceivable presence of God (Hell).

Mankind was created in the image of God, meaning we are created spiritually and created to exist spiritually for eternity.

God Bless You,

David

PS Just curious what type of doctrine are you supporting on the forum. It might help if we can read up on what you are alluding to. Can you provide a web reference?

Hi Nbreeze,

I just did a listing of all the uses of the word Everlasting and the word Everlasting is repeatedly used for either our Everlasting Presence with Jesus in Heaven or to explain The Everlasting Punishment of the non-believer.

I guess that it all depends on the definition of never and of everlasting.

Mark 9:43-46

it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Also maybe you can also just tell us what doctrine you are attempting to support instead of revealing it in snippets. Because it looks like you just have a personal agenda and that you personally are uncomfortable with hell so you want the Bible to fit to your comfort zone. How about a web address.

God Bless You,

David

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. This was indeed the verse I was quoting!
Jeremiah 7:20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched. Do we believe this anger of man, beasts, trees, and fruits will never be quenched?

Jeremiah 17:4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever. Do we believe His anger will go on through eternity, when they will soon be no more?

Jeremiah 21:12 O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Do we believe God will go on being angry at the House of David after the Judgement!

Malachi 4:1-3 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. [In saying "leaving neither root nor branch means no trace whatsoever!] But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. [The wicked will be ashes beneath our feet]

Matthew 3:12,40 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire... As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. [Unquenchable fire simply means a fire that can't be quenched, not that they will burn in it forever!]

2 Thessalonians 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; [Separation from God forever is everlasting destruction, the fire is not necessary forever for this to happen! That's why Revelation 2:11, 20:6,14, and 21:8 mention the Second Death! All that reject Christ will suffer the Second Death! Death is final, not everlasting.]

As far as my doctrine, it comes only from the Bible and the Holy Spirit! It's not Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Lutheran, etc! I do not believe in denominations, only in God and His Word!

May God bless and keep you, my brothers and sisters!

You are right in your beliefs! As I tried to show David, all that reject God will be punished in the Lake of Fire, respectively, for their blasphemies! Lucifer will suffer the longest, but will eventually become ash as the rest! Do you believe that people are being punished now; or do you believe, as I, that there can be no punishment until the judgement? How can one sentence another to be punished without first judging them? And we know that hasn't happened yet! I would be interested in your thoughts on this!
May God bless and keep you, my brothers and sisters!

Hi,

It is funny that we are in disagreement over everlasting punishment, something that neither of us will take part in or be a part of whether it is everlasting or not.

I just wanted to reiterate that we are in complete agreement about the Deity of Jesus, the forgiveness of our sins by the blood of Jesus and our Eternity in Heaven with Jesus.

God Bless You,

Your Brother in Christ Jesus,

David

<<<Why would Lucifer suffer longer than, say, the Beast or the False Prophet?>>>
I have no scripture for it, but look at it logically. Would you sentence a thief stealing bread to feed his family the same way you sentence a mass murderer? Most of those that go to the Lake of Fire will do so, because of ignorance! But Lucifer will go because of his extreme obsessive greed to possess what is not rightfully his! Although we can look at this as ignorance too, it's the greatest degree of ignorance! The Beast and the False Prophet will be lead by him, so again, their ignorance is not as great! As a criminals ignorance in this life determines the length of their sentence, I believe that God will deal respectively with those He judges!

<<<If it's reasonable for God to hold angels in chains awaiting judgement (Jude 1:6; 2 Pet 2:4), it should be for humans as well.>>>

I agree, but it does say hold awaiting judgement! There is nothing about suffering at this time! I suspect the following verse is the one you referred to! You have to take into account that forever to them was thought of in hundreds of years, not thousands or millions!
And thinking of the torment that they will go through, a week may feel like forever to them! Forever is a vague word to describe something. We use it to describe roads! Like Interstate 10 through New Mexico and Arizona goes on forever, but we know it doesn't! If it said eternally or everlasting, I would take it at face value, but forever to me has a limit!

Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

May God bless and keep you, my brothers and sisters!
